This website
The website does not intentionally collect personal information through forms, accounts, advertising, or analytics operated by us. Netlify hosts and delivers the website and may process standard connection and request information, such as an IP address and request metadata, to operate, secure, and deliver the site. See the Netlify Privacy Statement.
Gameplay videos are embedded using YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain. Loading or playing an embedded video still allows Google and YouTube to receive network, device, and request information under the Google Privacy Policy. We do not receive a YouTube viewer profile from those embeds.
Links to Epic Games Store take you to an independent service governed by its own privacy policy.
Epic account and online services
When you choose an Epic account sign-in, the Game processes your Epic Account ID, Epic Online Services Product User ID, Epic display name, and temporary authentication or session information. The Game requests Basic Profile access and uses only the identifiers and display name described above. It does not request access to your email address, real name, or friends list, and it does not use language preferences or linked-account context that may be available within Basic Profile.
Authentication tokens are kept temporarily in memory or handled by the Epic Online Services SDK. The SDK may maintain an encrypted local cache to support persistent sign-in. Signing out can remove persistent authentication. Offline play and multiplayer modes that do not use Epic account features do not require an Epic account.
Epic processes information under the Epic Games Privacy Policy.
Lobbies and multiplayer
Epic Online Services lobbies may process a lobby identifier and name, lobby owner and member identifiers, display names, membership and capacity, presence and invitation state, and protocol or transport information. Public lobbies are searchable and their advertised details can be visible to other players.
During multiplayer, Epic Online Services may process routing identifiers, connection metadata, gameplay packets, and service quality information such as latency, status codes, API call counts, and a random session identifier. Other players necessarily receive the gameplay and lobby information needed for the session. We do not store a server-side history of your matches.
Local diagnostics and support
The Game creates local diagnostic logs containing technical events such as timestamps, severity, runtime and operating-system information, error codes, exceptions, and Epic Online Services status codes. It applies best-effort redaction to tokens, URLs, email addresses, IP addresses, and service identifiers. Logs are not uploaded automatically.
On Windows, logs are normally stored in %LOCALAPPDATA%\Divergence\Logs. Log rotation is limited to 5 MiB per file, up to 10 retained files, and a maximum age of 7 days. Game settings are stored locally until you delete them.
If you contact support, we process the message and any files or account details you voluntarily provide. Support correspondence is retained only as long as reasonably necessary to resolve the request and address recurring problems, normally no longer than 12 months after the last correspondence, unless a longer period is legally required or needed for an ongoing security matter.
Why information is processed
Information is processed to authenticate players, create and discover lobbies, establish multiplayer connections, operate and secure the Game and website, diagnose technical problems, provide requested support, and comply with legal obligations. Depending on the activity, the legal basis is performance of a contract, our legitimate interest in providing and protecting the service, your consent where required, or compliance with law.
Who receives information
Information may be received by Epic Games and its Epic Online Services providers, by other players when needed for lobbies and multiplayer, by Netlify and Google when you use this website, by people helping us answer a support request, or by authorities where disclosure is legally required. We do not sell personal information.
Retention and deletion
Account identifiers and display names are ordinarily used for the active authentication or gameplay session and are not placed in a developer-operated account database. Temporary authentication information expires or is removed when no longer needed. Epic controls retention within its services under its own policies. Local log retention and support retention are described above.
You can delete local logs and settings from your device and sign out to remove persistent Epic authentication where supported. You may ask us to access, correct, or delete information we control by emailing privacy@projectdivergence.com. Requests concerning information held by Epic should also be directed to Epic.
Security and international processing
We use proportionate technical and organizational safeguards, including limited collection, local storage where practical, token handling through Epic Online Services, and diagnostic redaction. No system can guarantee absolute security. Epic, Netlify, Google, and other service providers may process information in countries outside your own, using the safeguards described in their policies.
Children and your rights
The Game and website are not directed to children under 13. Where local law requires a higher age or parental authorization for online services, those requirements apply.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing, obtain a portable copy, withdraw consent, and complain to your local data protection authority. Contact us using the address below to exercise a right. We may need enough information to verify the request and locate the relevant data.
Changes and contact
We may update this notice when the Game, website, or legal requirements change. The effective date and version at the top identify the current notice.
